Bhutte ka Kees

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh corn kernels (grated or crushed)

  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1 green chili, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp ginger, grated

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • Salt to taste

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp grated coconut (optional)

  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare corn: Grate or grind the corn coarsely in a mixer.

  2. Heat oil: Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.

  3. Sauté spices: Add green chili and ginger. Sauté for a few seconds.

  4. Cook corn: Add grated corn, turmeric, and salt. Mix well and cook for 4–5 minutes.

  5. Add milk: Pour in milk and cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and the corn is cooked.

  6. Finish: Turn off heat and add lemon juice.

  7. Serve: Garnish with grated coconut and coriander. Serve warm.
