Urad Dal Pakodi Kadhi
Ingredients:
1 cup urad dal (split black gram), soaked for 4–5 hours
1 green chili, finely chopped
1 tsp ginger, grated
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Curry leaves (optional)
Instructions:
Grind dal: Drain the soaked urad dal and grind into a thick, smooth batter using little water.
Mix spices: Transfer the batter to a bowl. Add green chili, ginger, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and salt. Mix well and beat the batter for a few minutes to make it light.
Heat oil: Heat oil in a deep pan on medium heat.
Fry pakodis: Drop small portions of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
Serve: Remove and drain on paper towels. Garnish with fried curry leaves if desired. Serve hot with chutney.
